I've had a few people express interest in this, so here you go. A collection of my photos from the old days of metal, in San Francisco. If you are in any of the photos, and want them removed, just contact me.
I'm too lazy to sort these, and some of these scans are very old, and low resolution. If I get some time, and find the originals, I'll rescan at a better size. But in no particular order, we have: Rude Girl, Missconception, Temptress, Leathur Panteez, Malibu Barbi, Industrial Rainforest, and Mary Hazell. You'll even find a shot or two of Doro, and Lita Ford as they passed through. And Wendy O Williams, I miss her.
The connections: When Rude Girl broke up, Sandy joined up with Heidi, Joann, and Kara from Missconception. They formed Malibu Barbi. While Leather was on the 12" recording, Melanie sang live and most other recordings. Later Lupe joined up with Kara and Joann, Industrial Rainforest. Pretty much, everyone local knew everyone else.
I really liked shooting Joann and Kara, because J was so small and K was so tall.
I lost track of nearly all of them - if you see anyone, tell them to get ahold of me (especially Joann, Kara, Sany, and Mel.) Michelle (LP) I still see on a regular basis. I've been told that Leather is a schoolteacher (!); possibly in Seattle or Washington, but I'm not totally clear on that.
